To Saltnerschwaige at the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi
Starting point for this hike is the village of Compatsch at Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi. You can reach Compatsch with the cable cars from Seis/Siusi. The first target is Hotel Panorama. The hotel can be reached by foot on the asphalt road, which is closed to traffic, or comfortably with a chairlift for four. From Hotel Panorama there is an almost flat path to the nearby Laurin Hut in a westerly direction. This hut stands on a rock overgrown with grass across from the two rock towers of the Schlern/Sciliar massif. From here the path leads through vast meadows slightly downwards in a southerly direction to Saltnerschwaige (1825 m) at the bottom of Sciliar Mountain. From Hotel Panorama to here it takes about 45 minutes. Return on the same route.
